Description
Magee, a company that specialises in tweed fabrics, was founded more than 150 years ago. At the end of the 18th century, this durable, coarse fabric was hand-woven by part-time fishermen or farmers and part-time weavers in Donegal. It was the perfect fabric to counter the damp and cold weather that is common in the north west of Ireland. Today, a family business proudly continues the tradition of weaving in Donegal Town. With full conviction, only natural fibres such as wool, silk, linen and cotton are used.
