The Irish weaving mill Magee in Donegal firmly believes in the use of natural fibres such as wool, silk, linen and cotton. Today, this tradition is today proudly carried on by the family run business that, although known as one of the oldest weaving mills in Ireland, keeps up with the times. Since 1866, the company has been designing and weaving traditional Donegal fabrics with their characteristic coloured pimples, which are also called "flecks". They are firmly spun in the yarn and give the fabric a lively, rather rugged appearance.
